Technical Standards Part J (conservation of fuel and power)

Technical Standard Part J is intended to ensure that effective measures for the conservation of fuel and power are incorporated in a building. It contains energy conservation provisions for the building fabric and the building services.

Following the UK’s adoption of the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive and the subsequent implementation of Building Regulation Part L in England and Wales, Technical Standard Part J is currently under review by the Scottish Executive.
