Phase 2

As part of the DTI Low Carbon Buildings Programme Phase 2, grant funding is now available to the public sector to subsidise the installation of microgeneration technologies for low carbon developments.

Under LCBP phase 2, products and installation are available only from DTI appointed “Framework Suppliers”. Dimplex, as an appointed “Framework Supplier” of ground source heat pumps is able to access these grants with immediate effect.

Who can apply?

Grants for the installation of Dimplex ground source heat pumps are available to public sector and not for profit organisations, including:

  • Local authorities
  • Housing associations
  • Hospitals
  • Schools
  • Universities
  • Colleges
  • Libraries
  • Registered charities

How much is the grant?

The grant is 35% of the purchase and installation cost of each Dimplex ground source heat pump, up to a maximum of £1m per application.

When is it available?

Paper applications are being accepted now and online applications will be possible from Monday 8th January 2007.

The programme is due to last for 18 months, however funds are capped so interested parties are encouraged to apply as early as possible in order to guarantee project funding.

Which Dimplex products are covered under the programme?

In order to comply with the terms and conditions of the DTI contract, only certain products from the Dimplex range have been selected for grant funding under the LCBP phase 2. These are:

SI MS range – 5 / 7 / 9 / 11/ 14kW single phase ground source heat pumps
SI CS range – 17 / 21 / 30kW three phase ground source heat pumps
SI 50 ZS – 50kW three phase ground source heat pump
SI 40 HS – 40kW three phase, high temperature ground source heat pump

Applicable accessories, including hot water cylinders are also covered under the grant programme.

Who will carry out the installation work?

Dimplex has specified a number of its Approved Installer Partners as “accredited installers” under the LCBP phase 2, in line with the DTI’s requirements. An installer (or choice of installers) will be provided by Dimplex to under take the installation work on our behalf for your project.
